We are (almost) ready for our first concert of 2026 – a performance of Haydn’s most-loved (and arguably) best) oratorio, The Creation, on Saturday 6th June at St James’s Church, Dursley.
Our soloists are confirmed as:
Kate Tretheway (soprano) – who has appeared regularly as a soloist at many high-profile venues, including London’s Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall and St John’s Smith Square, and Symphony Hall in Birmingham. She has sung as a soloist for various UK festivals, including the Three Choirs Festival.
Tim Burton (tenor) is a dear friend of Tyndale, having been a much-admired soloist for us at two previous concerts. He is now in his second year of the Master’s course at the Royal College of Music and studies with Tim Evans-Jones.
Stephen Hamnett (bass) is an alumnus of The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and probably best known as a member of Only Men Aloud, the Welsh male voice choir who gained international fame when they won the Last Choir Standing competition run by the BBC.
We will also be joined by the excellent Regency Sinfonia, who have been our favoured orchestral musicians for many years.
Tickets are selling fast – so don’t miss out. See Home page for full details and sales.
