Choir says farewell to a loyal singer

Tyndale members gathered to say farewell to one of our longest serving and most experienced singers.
John Ewer, who was a member for 55 years, is leaving Dursley to go and live with his son’s family in France.

He was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by chairman, Magnus Carter.

Magnus said: “John will be badly missed.  During his time with us, he served many years on the Committee, and had spells as Chairman and, more recently, President.

“Whether putting up posters, contributing to committee discussions, or supporting the tenor line, John has been a hard-working and loyal member.  For me, personally, he was always an inspiration. We wish him well for his future in France.”

John’s last performance was to a packed audience attending Tyndale’s Christmas concert at St James’s Church, Dursley, on 17 December.
